Marysville is centred in an area which caters for all kinds of outdoor activities, all year round. Horse riding, dirt-bikes, boats, canoes, four-wheel driving, balloon flights, you name it. Lake Eildon, Healesville Sanctuary, Cathedral Range State Park, Yarra Valley Wineries, Lady Talbot Forest Drive and much more are all within easy reach of Dalrymples.
Lake mountain, one of the world's most popular cross country skiing locations, is just a short drive from Marysville. Everything you need for skiing, tobogganing or just fooling around, can be hired in the village, including warm clothing.
Lake mountain is also a favourite bush-walking location in summer time with walks to the Summit, Alps lookout and Marysville lookout.
